Barcolana this weekend

This weekend in Trieste, the city’s famous Barcolana sailing regatta
takes place. On Sunday 8 October, about 2000 boats will compete in the
49th edition of the historic race.  The 13-mile triangular course begins
at 10:30 in the stretch of sea between Barcola and Miramare and ends in
front of Piazza Unità d’Italia.

Barcolana is more than a boat race. There are numerous related activates
taking place along the waterfront in Trieste, including exhibits,
