Events at ICTP This Week

Dear colleagues,

This is to inform you that on Tuesday and Wednesday, 21 and 22 November,
ICTP is hosting two group visits:

--Tuesday: from 9:00 until noon, the organizers of the EuroScience Open
Forum (ESOF) 2020, who are temporarily located at ICTP, will be
presenting a tool they will use in communicating opportunities for ESOF
participation. They have invited a small number of journalists from the
Triveneto region as well as Central and Eastern European countries to
attend an open informational session to be held in the Budinich Lecture
Hall. Speakers will include representatives from Trieste science
institutions. After the presentations, the journalists will be given a
tour of the Marie Curie Library and the SciFabLab.

--Wednesday: a delegation of Latin American ambassadors and Embassy
representatives resident in Rome will visit ICTP to learn more about the
institution. They will also briefly visit other Trieste science
institutes during their one-day visit. At 9:00, they will gather in the
Oppenheimer Room, where they will be welcomed by the ICTP Director.
Their visit will include meetings with ICTP students and scientists from
Latin American countries, and tours of the Marie Curie Library and the
SciFabLab. They will be treated to a buffet lunch in the Leonardo
Building Cafeteria.
