ANNOUNCEMENT: 2017 Trieste Mini Maker Faire and Science Picnic

The ICTP, in collaboration with Comune di Trieste and other partners, is 
organizing the fourth Trieste Mini Maker Faire (TSMMF).
It will be held _Saturday 16th (11:00-21:00) and Sunday 17th 
(10:00-18:00) of September 2017_, at the ICTP Campus.
As in the past years, hundreds of Makers will gather to this 
family-friendly event to showcase the results of their creativity
and resourcefulness and to share their skills and knowledge with the 
public.

After the great success of the first Trieste Science Picnic that was 
organised the day before the 2016 edition of the TSMMF, this year

the two events will be merged together and a "Science Picnic Village" 
will be established within the campus during that weekend.

It will be a special area where enthusiast scientists and passionate 
explainers will engage a public of mostly kids and young people,
showing the entertaining and creative side of science with various 
hands-on activities, interactive performances, labs and demos, in a
happy, funny and informal environment like a real picnic, within the 
spirit of the Mini Maker Faire.

The ICTP community at large is invited to participate to this event: as 
volunteers, as makers in the TSMMF, as exhibitors/performers in
the Science Picnic, and finally also as visitors -together with their 
families and friends.

proposals. More details about volunteer opportunities will be forthcoming.
