First of a series of seminars on the history of science, Malcolm 
Longair, renowned theoretical physicist and former head of the 
"mythical" Cavendish Institute in Cambridge, will talk about the role of 
analogies in the discovery of the laws of electromagnetism by James 
Clerk Maxwell.

The seminar is public, free of charge and will be held in English
