Dear Scientist and Staff,

ICTP and Scuola Media Corsi are following up their fruitful
collaboration in staging the plays /Nikola Tesla/, /Hypathia,/ and
/Rossum's Universal Robots/ by working together again, this time on a
*video project. *

A 20 minute video will be produced, to be shown on the occasion of the
*Ramanujan Prize 2016* Ceremony, on November 4.

The idea came from the recent release of the biographical movie on
Ramanujan (1887-1920) /The Man Who Knew Infinity/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Knew_Infinity_(film)
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Knew_Infinity_%28film%29>

The video, in the form of brief interviews with students and scientists,
will be based on a script, written in collaboration with ICTP and the
Guido Corsi School, so we are asking for your ideas and contributions:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Knew_Infinity_%28film%29>

*The subject will be "Creativity".*

ICTP scientists / staffare invited to contribute with a text of *600
characters max* (please no more than that!) expressing their thoughts on
one or more of the following questions:

    ·Where is creativity to be found?

    ·Where does an idea come from?

    ·Is school necessary or not?

    ·How do you recognize a good idea?

    ·Are ideas better born working alone or in groups?

It is suggested, but not necessary, that the contributions focus on
mathematical creativity. Personal thoughts on creativity at large would
fit as well. You may also be inspired by the Ramanujan Prize Award
itself http://www.ictp.it/about-ictp/prizes-awards/the-ramanujan-prize.aspx

Contributions in your /native language/ are encouraged, and they should
be accompanied by an English version. The video will be subtitled both
in English and Italian.

The texts received will be put together and edited into a script and
then the interviews will be filmed at ICTP. The video will include some
musical inserts.

*The deadline for receiving your written contributions is 20 September! *

Please send your contributions to:

        /Zina Makkawi (zmakkawi at ictp.it) - ext 507
        Nicoletta Zar (zar at ictp.it) - ext 215/
