Earthquake in Nepal

The Fund for Hunger is currently looking into ways how we may best help the earthquake-stricken populations of Nepal.

We have been in contact since day one with emergency aid workers from Italy who are on location, and we are exploring other avenues through our scientific contacts in Nepal. We are striving to use direct routes, through people we know and can rely on.

We are also in contact with two orphanages in the Kathmandu valley that have luckily not suffered too much damage and are still operational.

IF YOU WISH TO HELP US:

- The Fund for Hunger will be operating a stall to raise funds at the forthcoming Trieste MiniMaker Faire on ICTP's Campus on 9 and 10 May.

- If you are staff wishing to make a contribution, please contact the Personnel office.

- If you wish to make a contribution directly, you can do so at the UniCredit bank at the ICTP Fermi Building, or by bank transfer to the Fund for Hunger's account (IBAN: IT 75 L 02008 02213 000102658620, BIC/SWIFT: UNCRITM10ND).

- If you have reliable contacts in Nepal, or are aware of potential recipients of our aid, please share them with us.

Terremoto in Nepal

Il Fund for Hunger sta al momento valutando come aiutare le popolazioni nepalesi colpite dal sisma.

Siamo in contatto con del personale italiano che si trova in loco da diversi giorni, e stiamo esplorando altri canali per far arrivare il nostro aiuto dove serve, utilizzando i nostro contatti scientifici in Nepal. Cerchiamo di farlo in maniera diretta attraverso persone che conosciamo affidabili.

Siamo anche in contatto con due orfanotrofi nella valle di Kathmandu che fortunatamente non sono stati del tutto distrutti dal terremoto e sono ancora in grado di operare.

- Il Fund for Hunger sarà presente con un banchetto per raccogliere fondi alla Trieste Mini Maker Faire che si svolgerà sul campus dell'ICTP sabato 9 e domenica 10 maggio.
