address the importance of genetic research in fighting neurodegenerative 
diseases---the type of research carried out at SISSA.

The speakers will discuss the main Cosmology and Astrophysics results of 
the Planck satellite, on the occasion of the first public release of 
data. The results concern the Early Universe through the observation of 
the relic radiation from the Big Bang, as well as the main known 
astrophysical emissions from galaxies, clusters of galaxies and from the 
diffuse gas in the Milky Way.
INAF-OATs and SISSA jointly constitute one of the two Data Processing 
Centres.
