Dear All,
Diploma students have started a weekly event to watch scientific
documentaries and famous lectures on every Friday from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm
(7:00 pm max) in lecture-room B. This week's video is "*The Last Lecture:
Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams"* by *Randy Pausch*. This will be a
great lecture to watch together; although, this is not a scientific lecture
but it was given by a great person who was one of the pioneers of
artificial intelligence. Randy Pausch was not an ordinary person; he was an
American professor of computer science and human-computer interaction and
design at Carnegie Mellon University. He came to know in 2006 that he had
pancreatic cancer. In 2007 he gave this popular lecture when he knew that
he had only 3 to 6 more months to live. He finally died in 2008. the book
on this last lecture became the New York Times best-seller. He co-authored
this book with his wife. I am sharing links of his video and personal
website of Randy Pausch:

We welcome all of you to come and enjoy this great lecture to see how did
this great person achieve his childhood dream :)
