Mary O'KANE: "Productivity halos around top research centres"



"Science and Diplomacy" is the new international programme launched by
Twas, the academy of sciences for the developing world, and AAAS, the
American Association for the Advancement of Sciences.

Professor Mary O'Kane is the New South Wales (Australia) Chief Scientist
and Engineer and also Executive Chairman of Mary O'Kane & Associates Pty
Ltd, a Sydney-based company that advises governments, universities and
the private sector on innovation, research education and development.
O'Kane will highlight how specific concentrations of top level
researchers from Australia have received strategic government funding,
their work resulting in high-tech productivity and economy-boosting
activities.
