*LATIN-AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL AT ICTP on Saturday 22 october*

The Latin-American Film Festival will open on Saturday, 22 October in the ICTP Main Lecture Hall at 7.30 p.m. After welcome speeches by organizers and authorities, RAI film director Silvana Palumbieri will introduce her new film "Cuba un'arte anche italiana" (2011, 42 min.)

*ART & CULTURAL EXHIBITIONS*

*Today *at the Cara' Museum in Muggia, Vernissage of art show* 
"Convergenze" (*Convergences) by 3 artists: Ferluga, Perini and Zurlo. 
Open until 13 November, Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10-12 and 17-20, Sundays: 
10-12

*At the Adriatico Guesthouse - lower level - on display the photography 
exhibit 'URBAN 2011"*, many interesting photos of Trieste and abroad. 
The organizers have asked whomever visits the show to write to the 
photographers if they like their photos as their email addresses are 
clipped on the titles. The exhibit will be open until 28 October.

*Contemporary Art Exhibition "BIENNALE DIFFUSA*": * *This exhibition is 
the Friuli Venezia Giulia pavilion of the renown 54th International 
Venice Biennale event organized by famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi and 
is held at "Magazzino 26" in the old port of Trieste. From ICTP, take 
bus nr 6 and stop in Viale Miramare at the bus stop right after the main 
entrance of the show, ask the driver in case. It takes a 5-minute walk 
to reach the building, Magazzino 26. Entrance tickets for ICTP 
scientists, visitors and staff - bring your ICTP badge along - euro 6. 
You can take bus 6 or 36 that will drop you on the main road (viale 
Miramare) and then proceed by foot. Open until 27 November 2011.

*"Evraiki", *the Mediterranean diaspora from Corfu to Trieste" at the 
Carlo and Vera Wagner Museum in via del Monte 5. Ongoing until 20 Jan 
2012. Entrance euro 5.

*"A classical tour of Trieste" on Saturday 22 October at 10:30*: A 2-hr 
guided walking tour downtown to visit the main of this lovely city. The
