TOMORROW ICTP HOSTS a photo show at the ADRIATICO GUESTHOUSE at 18.00 _*

*A Photography exhibit/competition 'URBAN 2011" with prizes awarded to 
the winners will take place at 18.00 hrs tomorrow at the AGH in Via 
Grignano 9*. An ample display of interesting photos of Trieste will 
reveal its most charming aspects, situations, sceneries, persons. 
Presentation by Alessio Curto (JULIET Art Magazine) and Stefano Ambroset 
(Association dotART). A toast will be offered at the end of the 
presentation. The exhibit will be open until 28 October, Mondays to 
Fridays, 9-19. Everybody is welcome.

*ART & CULTURAL EXHIBITIONS*

*Tomorrow at 17.00: Opening of renovated Museum dedicated to Italo Svevo 
and James Joyce *in Via Madonna del Mare 13, 2nd fl. This is due to the 
150th Anniversary of the birth of famous Triestine writer Italo Svevo 
(1861 - 1928).

*Saturday, at 15.30: Opening of a NEW MUSEUM *in Via San Giacomo in 
Monte 9: the ex Washing House - the last one in Trieste's past - in 
which the museum is hosted has been restored and opened to the public to 
illustrate the history of our times which seems distant, but is still

*At the Revoltella Museum "Caccia al Tesoro" (Treasure Hunt*) at the 
Contemporary Art Section. The exhibition will be dislocated in different 
areas of the Museum, from the ground level to the 6th floor as in a 
'treasure hunt" with interesting new works, installations, crafts, 
photography. Ongoing until 4 December. Entrance ticket euro 6. Open 
daily (except Tuesday) from 10:00 - 19:00.

*Contemporary Art Exhibition "BIENNALE DIFFUSA*": * *This exhibition is 
the Friuli Venezia Giulia pavilion of the renown 54th International 
Venice Biennale event organized by famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi and 
is held at "Magazzino 26" in the old port of Trieste. From ICTP, take 
bus nr 6 and stop in Viale Miramare at the bus stop right after the main 
entrance of the show, ask the driver in case. It takes a 5-minute walk 
to reach the building, Magazzino 26. Entrance tickets for ICTP 
scientists, visitors and staff - bring your ICTP badge along - euro 6. 
*New exhibit on the ground floor of Italian artist and sculptor 
Pordenone Montanari, who is considered by the international critic as 
the new Picasso and Cezanne.* You can take bus 6 or 36 that will drop 
you on the main road (viale Miramare) and then proceed by foot. Open 
until 27 November 2011.

*"Evraiki", *the Mediterranean diaspora from Corfu to Trieste" at the 
Carlo and Vera Wagner Museum in via del Monte 5. Ongoing until 20 Jan 
2012. Entrance euro 5.

November: 17 "gostilne" (small typical inns) spread out in the karst

*"A classical tour of Trieste" on Saturday 15 October at 10:30*: A 2-hr 
guided walking tour downtown to visit the main of this lovely city. The 
tour is in Italian and English and costs euro 5/pers. It is necessary to

*Venice Biennial - Biennale di Venezia*, the *54th International Art 
Exhibition** *at the Giardini and Arsenale and other spots in Venice. 
This year's theme is "*ILLUMInations"* and is set up in the Central

and Mueller representing the 1905 "Die Brücker " movement in Dresden,
