*DUINO CASTLE and REDIPUGLIA*

*The Duino Castle, built in the 14^th century, is among one of the most 
attractive castles in Europe and is still the official residence of 
Prince Torre and Tasso. >From its cliff top location, it overlooks a 
small fishing village and is surrounded by extensive gardens. Inside you 
can see the furnishings, pictures, books and mementoes collected over 
the centuries and visit the World War 2 bunker. *

*Redipuglia is Italy's largest First World War memorial with the remains 
of more than one hundred thousand soldiers. The Carsic Plateau and the 
surrounding lands witnessed severe battles between the Austrians and 
Italians during the First World War (1915-1918)**.* *You will visit the 
Museum, the original trenches and the burial spot of the Duke of Aosta, 
Commander of the Third Army that fought in this area during the war.*

PROGRAMME:*

*The meeting point with our English-speaking guide is fixed at 13:30 at 
the Grignano Bus Stop by the sea, close to the Adriatico Guesthouse.*

*Return time to Trieste is fixed at 19:00 approx.*

*The discounted contribution requested for the guided tour is euro 
5/each payable directly at the Info Point counter. *

*The amount of euro 6,50/head (discounted entrance fee to the Castle) 
must be paid directly to the guide on the bus. *
