THE SAVOIA HOTEL (Riva del Mandrachio 4) AT 18:00

*ICTP Prof Filippo Giorgi will give a talk in Italian "Chiare fresche e 
scarse acque: cambiamenti climatici e ciclo idrologico mediterraneo"* 
("Clear, fresh and scarce waters, climate changes and hydrologic 
Mediterranean cycle"). Prof Giorgi is head of the Earth System Physics 
section and one of the vice-chairs of the IPCC Working Group. The Nobel 
Peace Prize in 2007 was split equally between the Intergovernmental 
Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Al Gore, Jr. "for their efforts to 
build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate 
change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to 
counteract such change.
