*INAUGURATION OF THE VERDI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT SEASON 2010 - 2011 
with music by Schubert and Schumann on Fri 10 and Sat 11 Sept. *There is 
a 50% reduction on tickets purchased "last minute" (one hour before the 
show) for all performances directly at the Verdi's ticket office. You 
may also send an SMS to: 340 4350395 and join the Verdi's mailing list 
info for last minute seats availability. Only for the Sat afternoon 
performances young people under 26 can purchase tickets for euro 5*.

CLASSICAL MUSIC (FREE)*

*Baroque Music at the Lutheran Church in Largo Panfili, *(close to the 
Central Post Office) on Sat 11 Sept at 20:30 with the Rumanian Flute 
Ensemble and on Sun 12 Sept at 20:30 Baroque Venetian music. The 
concerts are organized by the Associazione Panta Rhei

Organ Music at the San Giusto Cathedral *every Monday in September at

Chamber Music at the Auditorium of the United World College *on Sun 12 
Sept at 11:00 with the Trio Amarillis and Trio Barcarola, organized by 
the Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera Trio di Trieste. 
Following the concert, an aperitif will be offered to everyone. Bus 51 
to Duino.

Miramare Concerts every Friday at 20:30 and ongoing until 17 September* 
with the Tartini Music Conservatory. The concerts are free and held in 
the Throne Room, but you must pay the entrance ticket to the Castle for 
the evening: euro 4/head. * Friday 10 Sept*:  *Guitar Recital* with 
Laurentiu Claudiu Stoica, music by Bach, Mertz, Giuliani, Albeniz and 
Rodrigo*. *Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

ART EXHIBITION*

*"LaBORAtorio" *at Palazzo Costanzi, Piazza Piccola  (close to Trieste's 
Municipality and Piazza Unità), an interesting exhibition on Trieste's 
famous wind "Bora" with art works by Triestin artists, objects, photos, 
postcards, films and documentaries recalling Trieste's story and 
culture. The exhibition is ongoing until 12 Sept, everyday 10:00 - 13:00 
/17:00 - 20:00

Mirò, "Il Poeta del Colore" *(the poet of colours) ongoing until 7 
November at the Scuderie di Miramare (ex-horse stables of the Miramare 
Castle close to the main entrance gate). The exhibition is a collection 
of Mirò's art prints, lithographs, watercolours combined with poetic 
verses by the artist himself. Open from Tues - Sun 10:00 - 18:30.

Visit the Sartorio Museum,* an ancient 18th century Villa of noble 
Genovese origins, its beautiful furnitures and its numerous art 
collections such as the Tiepolo Veneziano works of art and more recently 
those of Fittke and on the first floor you may visit the rich Rusconi - 
Opuich art collection. The Sartorio Museum is situated in Largo Papa 
Giovanni XXXIII n.1. Bus 30 and 10. Opening days: Tues - Sun from 10:00 
- 13:00, entrance ticket euro 5,50.

 

*Visit the Revoltella Museum.* It has a new ongoing exhibiton starting 
today until 15 Nov: "Roberta di Camerino. La Rivoluzione del Colore". 
The museum is located in Via Diaz 27 (Bus 30 or 8). The museum is worth 
visiting as it has many ongoing art exhibitions (including a 
contemporary art collection), and you may also visit the private 
apartments of the Baron Revoltella who donated his palace and his rich 
art collections to the city of Trieste. The Museum is open every day 
(except Tuesday) from 10:00 to 19:00. Entrance ticket is euro 6,50. 
There is a free guided tour at 11:00 every Sunday (you just have to pay

*Musicals and shows at the San Giusto Castle: Fri 10 Sept: "Musical 
StarTs", Sat 11 Sept Ballet "Carmen" and Sun 12 Sept "PaGAGnini" 
(Virtuoso String* Quartet). Tickets are sold at the Rossetti Theatre box 
office in Viale XX Settembre 45, or directly at the San Giusto Castle on 
the day of the show at 19:30. In case of bad weather the shows will be
