*International Short Film and Debut Work Festival "Maremetraggio" 
*starting on 25 June and ongoing until 3 July with artistic and cultural 
side events as well. Venues of film projections will be held in 
different locations such as the Open Air Cinema of the Giardino Pubblico

Triskell *is the annual Celtic Festival held in Trieste and ongoing 
until Sunday 27 June at the Boschetto del Ferdinandeo (bus 11 from 
Piazza della Borsa). There is a full programme of live bands with 
original "Celtic" music from all over Europe. There are also kiosks 
selling all kinds of items and hand made crafts related to the "magical

Surf Rock 'n' Roll music* with the "Los Strait Jacquets" on Friday 25 
June at 22:00 at the Ausonia Beach Club in Riva Traiana 1/3 organized by

CLASSICAL MUSIC *

*Classical Music Concert at the Basilica di San Silvestro *(close to the 
Teatro Romano) on Friday 25 June at 20:45 a piano concert with 4 hands 
with music by Mozart, Gouvy followed by the "Brass for Fun" Ensemble 
with music by Wagner, Jobim, Sousa and the Beatles. The concerts are 
organized by the Associazione Culturale "Da Capo". Free entrance. Next 
concerts in the same location on Friday 2 and 9 July.

Bach Music* on Sun 27 June at 11:30 at the Lutheran Church in largo 
Panfili 1 (close to the Central Post Office). *Free entrance*. The

ART EXHIBITION*

*"Raffaella Curiel, Art and Fashion", *an exhibition of the 
International Italian fashion designer from Trieste at the Sala Umberto 
Veruda in Piazza Piccola 2 (close to Piazza Unità) ongoing until 18 
July. The exhibition highlights her close and intimate relationship with 
art and her connections with international artists during her life. 
Visiting times: 10:00 - 13:00 / 17:00 - 20:00. On 11 July there will be 
a concert in memory of her with the performance of a soprano Marianna 
Prizzon accompanied by two musicians.

Visit the Trieste Joyce Museum* open Mon - Wed 9:00 - 13:00, Thurs (9:00 
- 13:00 / 15:00 - 19:00 and Fri - Sat 9:00 - 13:00. The Museum is 
located in Via Madonna del Mare, 2nd floor and is a joint venture 
between the Attilio Hortis' Public Library and the Department of 
Anglo-German Literature and Culture of the University of Trieste. It has 
a collection of works by and about James Joyce, including secondary 
sources, with a special emphasis on his period in Trieste and the city's 
fundamental role for understanding the Irish writer's life and works. 
Take bus 30. You may wish to visit the ongoing exhibition: "Bloomsday 
2010, 4 artists and their Journey with Ulysses" at the Hotel Urban in 
via Androna Chiusa 4 (close to Piazza Unità).

Mirò, "Il Poeta del Colore" *(the poet of colours) ongoing until 7 
November at the Scuderie di Miramare (ex-horse stables of the Miramare 
Castle close to the main entrance gate). The exhibition is a collection 
of Mirò's art prints, lithographs, watercolours combined with poetic 
verses by the artist himself. Open from Tues - Sun 10:00 - 18:30. 
Entrance ticket euro 5.

SWIMMING CLOSE TO ICTP:*

*In Barcola: *There are several public and free areas along the seaside 
where you can spread your towel anywhere you wish and just dive into the 
sea! Pick the spots where you can also have access to free showers.

*There are two beach clubs close to ICTP *that offer a  euro 0.50 
discount on the entrance ticket upon presentation of your ICTP badge: 
"The Riviera" is situated in Strada Costiera 20 (beneath the Riviera 
Hotel) and the "Sirena" in Riva Massimiliano e Carlotta n.2 (close to 
the Adriatico Guest House).

MISCELLANEOUS *

*New Service: Free Internet roaming in Piazza Unità: *You may register 
for free by providing an Italian mobile number after which you will be 
given a password and a 2 hrs free Internet Wi-Fi connection. In the near 
future the Comune in collaboration with "Trieste Città Digitale" will be 
extending this service to public libraries, museums and hotels.

"Aria di festa, Festival di San Daniele" 25 - 28 June* is a cultural, 
touristic and food-and-wine event in San Daniele del Friuli. The town is 
situated in the heart of the Friuli Region. The small town of San 
Daniele and its castle will be transformed into a huge market are with 
stands and kiosks for food and wine tasting. There will also be guided 
tours of ham-making facilities. The best way to reach San Daniele is by 
car. For more info on this event, check:

*"Nei Suoni dei Luoghi" *is an international music festival ongoing 
until 4 September with concerts held in different locations in the 
Region. This year, the festival aims at giving excellent

Herzegovina, of Cetinje in Montenegro, of Ljubljana, Tirana, Zagabria,
