Traffic disruptions - Giro d'Italia Sunday 10 May 2009

Please note that on Sunday 10 May, the second stage of this year's Giro 
d'Italia cycling race will take place along the route from Jesolo (near 
Venice) to Piazza Unita' in Trieste.
For those interested in going to watch, the attached table gives details 
of the exact route and the expected time when the cyclists will go past.
Please note that the Strada Costiera (Coast Road, where ICTP is 
located), will be closed to all traffic from 14:00-18:00.  Only 
emergency vehicles will be allowed through.  During this time, the 36 
bus will not be running.  The 51 airport buses scheduled to depart in 
this time-frame will leave from the central bus station in town, but 
will take a different route to avoid the race route.  Those visitors 
needing to get to the airport on Sunday afternoon can check the 
schedules either on the APT bus company's web site www.aptgorizia.it or 
by calling their toll-free number 800-955957.
