Italian language courses at ICTP - 2008/2009

NOTICE TO ALL SCIENTISTS AND STAFF
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES AT ICTP - ACADEMIC YEAR  2008/2009

The ICTP Administration offers free Italian language courses open to its
visitors and scientists, staff and family members whose stay in Trieste
is of at least 2/3 months. SISSA is sponsoring course B from January
2009, so this course is also open to SISSA visitors and scientists.  All
those interested are welcome to join.  The lessons are held by Ms.
Ariane De Marchi (italian at ictp.it). Questions about participation should
be made to the teacher or to the ICTP Support Services, Ms. D. Giombi
(courses at ictp.it).


COURSE A3 - Starting on 23 March 2009 (4.5 hours/week)
For absolute beginners, with no previous knowledge of Italian. The
necessary book  for those attending: "Essential Italian Grammar in
Practice" (M. Mezzadri, ed. Guerra) + keys to exercises costs Euro 15.00
and is directly provided by the teacher.
* Module A2 terminates on Friday, 20 March 2009 *


COURSE B - ongoing
September 2008 - May 2009  (3 hours/week)
For students with some previous knowledge of Italian language.  The
necessary book for those attending: "La lingua italiana per stranieri"
(K. Katerinov, ed. Guerra) costs Euro 20.00 and is directly provided by
the teacher.


COURSE C - Conversation - ongoing (started on 29 September 2008)
For students who have basic knowledge of Italian and wish to practice
and/or improve.  C1 is for absolute beginners while C2 is more advanced.
