G8/Traffic limitations 25 - 27 June

G8 Meeting in Trieste : Traffic limitations from 25 - 27 June


We have been informed that on the occasion of the G8 meeting taking 
place in Trieste from  Thursday 25 to Saturday 27 June, there will be a 
series of security measures and traffic limitations taken by the  
Authorities.

The Viale Miramare and area around the Centre will be affected as follows:

- On Friday 26 June it will not be possible to come from outside Trieste 
as the road will be shut from Sistiana to town rom 18.00/18.30 hrs. for 
a couple of hours and again from 24.00 hrs.to 0.30 hrs. for another 
couple of hours.

- The Miramare  Castle and Park will be off-limits, thus closed  on 25 
and 26 June.

- Parking along the Viale Miramare from Barcola to the Miramare Castle 
will not be allowed on Fri 26 starting at 16:00.

- The "Rive",  (the city seaside promenade)  will be closed to traffic 
from today starting at 20:00 hrs. until 27 June evening,  as well as 
many other roads in the city. There will be a number of parking 
restrictions as well.

- Bus nr. 6 - Only on Friday 26 June -  will stop at Roiano and 
therefore, not proceed to Barcola.

Since there are constant changes in the planning of the event, we shall 
keep you informed about the latest updatings whenever available.
