Extraordinary Maintenance Works at AGH

TO THE ATTENTION OF ALL  STAFF AND SCIENTISTS

INARCASSA, the owners of the AGH house, will carry out, starting in July
and continuing through end of October 2009,  a series of necessary
extraordinary maintenance works at the AGH. The works are of such a
character that  have to be undertaken  before the humid late
autumn/winter period starts.

- The sea front Main Terrace will be given a new flooring to stop the
water penetration.
- All windows  in the basement level outside the lecture halls will be
replaced by new ones, as the present ones have become unsafe with a risk
of falling off, due to the continuous water infiltrations.
- All sea front room terraces will be renovated, to repair and hinder
 parts in concrete from falling down on the Main Terrace.

_*Period 6 July-30 August: *_
Scaffoldings will be placed on the Main Terrace for the room terrace 
renovation.

However, a part of the Main Terrace will continue to be accessible,
through a passage below the scaffolds for all Scientists and Cafeteria 
users.

*_Period 31August end October: _*

The flooring work on the Main Terrace is planned  for this period therefore
the Main Terrace will not be accessible.
