Cafeteria Services

Dear all,
This is to inform you about the cafeteria services this year.
Following a competitive bid, which we are obliged to undertake in all
areas every 5 years or so, a new company won the contract for the
cafeteria in the Leonardo Building.  The Jolly/Consultsan Company .
For the Adriatico cafeteria  we did not get a sufficient number of bids,
so the contract with the present caterer, the C.T.I Company, was
prolonged for one more year pending a new bid there.

This means that there are now two different companies operating the ICTP
cafeterias, so the prizes and menu may differ between them.
It is understandable if CTI and/or Jolly/Consultsan would need some
limited number of days to get all equipment and routines in place, so we
invite the cafeteria users to be patient the first few weeks until all
small difficulties and adjustments are completed.

When undertaking this bid, It has been important objectives for ICTP to
avoid or limit any cost increases as well as to maintain the good
standard of food and services. The bid and the requested offer and
composition of meals were organized to this purpose. Some cost increases
were though inevitable, given the recent significant cost increase of
some raw materials.

We wish to welcome the New Firm "Jolly/Consultsan" and ask all Cafeteria
users their understanding and patient for the first few weeks until all
small difficulties and adjustments will be completed.
