EXHIBITIONS
"NELL'ANIMA DELLE DOLOMITI" ("In the Soul of the Dolomites") a 
photography exhibition by Emilio Zangiacomi Pompanin until 9 March at 
the Antico Caffè San Marco in Via Battisti. The photography is made by 
digital infrared light with beautiful scenes of the Dolomite Alps.

"ROMA E I BARBARI" (Rome and the Barbarians). A millennium of history, 
coexistence, interaction and conflicts between two worlds. An 
exhibition of more than 1700 pieces of art from Europe, Tunisia and the 
United States at Palazzo Grassi, (Campo San Samuele 3231) in Venice

"LIVING THE 17th CENTURY", an exhibition on the life stile of the 
"Ancien Regime". Open 9:00 - 19:00, closed on Mondays, until 24 Feb.

"MAYA CERAMICS FROM EL SALVADOR" Permanent exhibition at the Civico

FREE TOUR BY FOOT (in Italian)  with an expert guide only this Sunday
An expert guide will take you around the city's palazzos and visit 
historical coffee bars, with anecdotes about the city's history and 
literature. Organized by the Province of Trieste. Meeting point in 
front of Piazza Unità's fountain at 15:00.

MUSIC - CONCERTS - THEATRE
THE CONSERVATORIO TARTINI (Trieste's Music Academy) has a series of 
free concerts until May. On Mondays and Wednesdays at 20:30. Please 
call the Conservatorio (situated in Via Ghega, close to Piazza Oberdan)

LIVE MUSIC
"You sing!" Karaoke Nights, every Friday from 21.00 at Oblivion Pub, 
via Lionello Stock 2/2b (Stock Red Building in Roiano).
"Ottava Nota" group, free entrance. At Audace Cafè on Thursday 21 at 
21:00, Piazza Unità. An interesting repertoire ranging from acoustic 
music to jazz and Italian songs from the past and present.
"Smooth Project" Live Jazz Music. Every Friday at Bar Costa from 21:00

Teatro Verdi: "Memorial Pavarotti", Raina Kabaivanska sings lyrics from

Teatro Bobbio (ex "La Contrada") on the occasion of the 300th 
anniversary of Carlo Goldoni: "Teatro Comico", a play by Goldoni until

Teatro Rossetti: "Masaniello", an Italian musical from Naples, music by

Teatro dei Salesiani: "La Linea di Estremo Oriente", a comedy in 
Triestine dialect inspired by the "Maldobrie" of L. Carpinteri and M. 
Faraguna. The adventures of seafaring men, when Trieste was still part
