A trip is being organized for ICTP visitors on Saturday 26 May:

Saturday 26 May : Special guided tour to Aquileia
On Saturday 26 May, we have booked a special guided tour by private bus 
  to AQUILEIA (about 45 km. from Trieste) with an English-speaking 
guide.  Aquileia is very old marshland settlement, with a Roman period 
of seven centuries starting from 181 B.C. It's one of the most 
interesting sites in this area, and there are old Roman mosaics in the 
basilica and Roman ruins spread out in a lovely landscape.
The discounted contribution for ICTP visitors is euro 4/head, payable 
when you sign up, with an extra euro 2.50/head entrance for the 
optional visit of the crypt on the day of the trip.

Meeting point: Grignano, at the last bus stop of the 36 near the sea at 
8:50, ready for punctual departure at 9:00.
Return: around lunchtime.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR THE TRIP BUT HAVE 
NOT YET PAID, YOU SHOULD BRING 4 EURO TO THE INFOPOINT AT YOUR EARLIEST 
CONVENIENCE.
