Trip to Duino Castle

To all ICTP Visitors

There will be a guided tour in English of Duino Castle organized for 
ICTP visitors this Saturday 20 May 2006 in the morning.

The Castle is located along the coast in a spectacular cliff-top 
location.  As well as the seeing the beautiful gardens and panoramas 
there will be the chance to see inside the castle, which was inhabited 
until very recently by Prince della Torre e Tasso and his family.  
There is also a bunker of the second World War, which has just been 
opened to public view, as well as a temporary exhibition of antique 
Chinese objets d'art.  You can get more details about the castle on the

The cost of the trip will be 7 Euro.

Those who are interested in participating in the tour should send an 
e-mail to this account specifying how many people will be coming, or 
call ext. 433, or come to the InfoPoint in the reception of the Main 
Building to sign up by 12 noon on Friday 19 May.
