A R T  &  E X H I B I T I O N S
Inauguration of Exhibition of works in oils and pastels by the artist 
Franco Dugo at 18:00 on Saturday 25 March 2006 in the Galleria Rettori 
Tribbio (piazza Vecchia 6).  The exhibition will be open until 7 April 
Tue-Sat 10-12:30 and 17-19:30, Sun 11-12:30, closed Monday.
Photographic Exhibition in the Museo Sveviano (piazza Hortis 4) 
entitled "Se hai tempo fatti fotografare" (If you have time have your 
photo taken).  A photographic biography of Italo Svevo.  Open until 11 
September 2006 Mon-Sat 10-13 and Sunday 10-12.  Free entrance.
Exhibition in the ballroom of the Revoltella Museum (via Diaz, 27) 
entitled "Preview - Andy Warhol's Timeboxes".  Open until 18 July 2006 
as an introduction to the main exhibition which will open on 21 July in 
the renovated fish market (ex-pescheria) in Trieste.  E-mail

display here are part of the "Campbell's soup" group, dedicated to 
industry in Pittsburgh, Warhol's home town, which was a recurring 
source of inspiration in his work.
Exhibition in Galleria Lipanjepuntin Arte Contemporanea, via Diaz 4 
entitled U2 & i by the photographer Anton Corbijn.  A series of shots 
of the rock band taken over the years.  Open until 11 April 2006

Exhibition in Gorizia in the beautiful Palazzo Attems-Petzenstein 
(piazza Edomondo de Amicis 2) until 2 June, entitled "Caleidoscopio 
Missoni", which documents the history of the Missoni family, 
world-famous for their textiles.

C H I L D R E N's  A C T I V I T I E S
L'Immaginario Scientifico
This science museum (located on the ground floor level of the Adriatico 
Hotel, entrance at the rear of the hotel, opposite the 36 bus stop) has 
exhibits which are particularly suitable for children.
A children's laboratory will be held on Sunday from 15.45-16.45 for 
those aged 4-7 and from 15:30-17:00 for 8-11 year olds.  You can book

C I N E M A
If you want to see a film in English, the cinema Cinecity at the Torri 
d'Europa shopping centre (bus number 8 from the station) offers one or 
two films per week which you can hear in the original language by means 
of a pair of headphones provided by the cinema upon request.

F A I R S  &  M A R K E T S
Mostra Mercato d'Arte Antica - Antique Fair
At the Fiera di Udine until 26 March 2006 from 10-20 on Saturday and 
Sunday and from 15-20 on weekdays, there is the Antique Fair "Tesori 
d'Epoca".

M U S I C  &  C O N C E R T S
Jazz Music Concerts
On Friday 24 March 2006 at 21:00 in the bar Costa (viale XX Settembre, 
24) there will be a jazz concert by the Mother Funk Trio.  Same date 
and time, the Orest-Orizzonti dell'Est Quintet will play at the Casa 
della Musica (via Capitelli, 3).

Concert of Organ Music
On Sunday 26 March 2006 at 18:00 in the San Giusto Cathedral, there 
will be a concert of organ music by Manuel Tomadin.

Ska and Reggae Music Festival
On Friday 24 March 2006 in the Etnoblog in via Madonna del Mare 3, 
there will be a concert organized by the cultural association Gruppo 
Tetris.  The ska and reggae group, i Califfo de Luxe will be 
performing.

Teatro Miela
On Saturday 25 March 2006, there will be a day's activities dedicated 
to the restoration of the Kino Theater Arena "Prvi Maj" in Sarajevo, 
which was badly damaged during the war.  The day's events include the 
opening of a photographic exhibition, a round-table, a video projection 
and, starting at 9pm, a concert by the Maxmaber Orkestar and Bande 
Gaber.  All the proceeds of donations received on the day will go to 
the restoration project.

S P O R T
Ice-Skating
Last weekend to take advantage of the ice-skating rink open at the 
Fiera buildings in piazzale de Gasperi (bus 18 from piazza della 
Borsa).  Opening hours Monday-Friday 14-22 and Saturday and Sunday 
10-22.  The cost is 6 euro (including hire of skates) or 3 euro if you 
take your own skates.

T O U R S
Trieste by Bus
Every Saturday a bus leaves for a tour of Trieste from in front of the 
train station at 14.00.  It takes in all of the main sights to see 
downtown, and there is also a 30-minute stop at St. Giusto Castle, 
where you can walk along the Castle walls or visit the Cathedral or 
simply enjoy the spectacular views.  Tickets may be bought in the Sala 
Eurostar in the main railway station and cost 5.20 Euro, with children 
under 10 travelling free.
